About Us

        First Scout was started by twin brothers Ben and Jon Chastney in 2005. Over the years, the company has helped hundreds of athletes get into their choice schools. Based out of Kittery, Maine, First Scout works with a network of professional videographers, offering coverage throughout New England from Maine to Connecticut as well as traveling to events across the nation.

        Jon is a passionate young man who, through thick and thin, has been the beating heart of First Scout. He’s filmed and edited hundreds of hours of nearly every sport from football to field hockey, summer lacrosse to winter hoops. As far as the First Scout team goes, he’s the first one in last one out.
        Personally, Jon holds his business to impeccable standards putting honesty, integrity and excellence in service first and foremost in every one of his dealings. Under his leadership, First Scout has consistently gone the extra mile and always will.
